Rosary Crusade for Pope Francis

Dear friends,
We are a group of laymen entirely consecrated to Our Lady, and we have undertaken the initiative of a Rosary Crusade for Pope Francis as an expression of our duty to be close to the Vicar of Christ on earth, in this very troubled moment of history.
We are aware of the difficulties that governing the Church entails: in every age, albeit in various ways, it has always proposed a way in contrast with worldly values. Today this contrast is particularly acute, and brings with it grave difficulties for the one who must hold steady the rudder of Peter’s barque.
For this reason, we lay faithful present the initiative of praying, by the recitation of a million Rosaries to support the Pope, that the Holy Virgin who “unties knots” will always guide his every action according to the Will of God, Father&Son&Holy Spirit.
Therefore, we invite all the lay faithful to join us, praying at least one Rosary every day for Pope Francis. To those who already have the devout practice of a daily Rosary for other intentions of their own, we ask the generosity of offering for the Pope the recitation of an additional Rosary.
We begin this Rosary Crusade on 8 May, date of the Supplication to Our Lady of the Rosary of the Shrine of Pompei, continuing it until 1 January 2017, Solemnity of Mary’s Divine Maternity.
That is 238 days, and if 4,202 people join the initiative, we will reach the total of a million Rosaries recited for our Pope Francis.

Note: a few hours after the publication of the Letter of invitation to the Rosary Crusade for Pope Francis, the following note arrived, from a group of friars, sisters, Poor Clares and Tertiaries of the Immaculate. It is a very encouraging note for everyone!
We Franciscans of the Immaculate, Friars, Sisters, Poor Clares, and Tertiaries, ever faithful and loyal to our Father Founders, Fr. Stefano Maria Manelli and Fr. Gabriele Maria Pelletieri, straightway make this Rosary Crusade for Pope Francis our own, committing ourselves personally to reciting every day a complete Rosary (20 decades) from 8 May 2016 to 1 January 2017, i.e., from the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompei and St. Michael the Archangel, to the Solemnity of Mary Most Holy, Mother of God.
